Hysterical Dog's Facial Expressions Cheer Up Woman Stuck At Home Due To Her Chronic Illness
Penelope the Goose does not look like an ordinary dog, and that is exactly why people cannot stop staring. With her expressive face, tiny outfits, and calm presence, the Italian greyhound has become a bright spot for one woman who spends a lot of time at home because of chronic illness.
Kayla says Penelope has a gentle side with kids, a mischievous streak around the house, and a habit of making everyday life feel lighter. The pup’s unusual personality helped her stand out online, where her photos quickly drew attention and a growing fan base.
Now Penelope’s story is making people smile for more than one reason, and her next photo is probably the one that seals it.

Penelope has a special love for children; she enjoys playing with them and can also sense when Kayla's kids are ill. When that is the case, she cuddles with them and lets them know that she's there for them.
Kayla describes Penelope’s personality as:
She is not like any dog I have ever met. She is funny! She loves playing games and even seems to have a sense of humor. Penelope is sassy! She does what she wants, how she wants to do it. She is sneaky and mischievous, an evil genius of sorts! I have never seen a dog able to figure out the things she does to get a hold of what she wants. We’ve gone through lines of trash cans trying to find one she can’t figure out how to unlock! Any of The Goose's mischievousness is balanced out by pounds of sweetness! She is incredibly loving and affectionate. She adores kisses, hugs, and snuggles, and is always cuddled up with me or one of my kids. She will wrap her arms around us in a hug when we are kissing her.
Upon visiting Penelope's account, it's impossible not to notice her fashionable outfits. Kayla explained that since Penelope's breed requires clothing to stay warm, she decided to add her own touch to her look by making her more fashionable.
From the day she was born, it became obvious that Penelope was not like the other pups in the litter. Her siblings were all wild and bouncy, but she was somehow always calm, cuddly, and gentle.
This is the same kind of goofy, heartwarming quirk as the furry habits and personality surprises dog owners celebrate.
Kayla's unique “goose-like” look was an instant hit on Facebook after she posted a couple of pictures of her pup on the platform. After that, she created an Instagram account for her, where she gained online fame ridiculously fast. Penelope now has more than 87.2k followers on Instagram, and her fans are quite fond of her goofy expressions.
3-year-old Penelope the Goose is an Italian greyhound, and she lives with Kayla Harvey, her owner, in Gardner, Kansas. Penelope the Goose was adopted three years ago when she was just eight weeks old. She was initially meant to be Kayla's companion so she wouldn't be at home alone when her youngest child started school.
