Dog Who Loves Water Is Caught On Camera Going For A Secret Dip In The Family's Pool
Elliot, a German Shepherd with a serious love of water, has turned family swim time into his favorite event. He has always wanted in on the fun, and his owners usually had to lift him into the above-ground pool so he could join them.
That changed when Abigail Rose caught him making a move on his own during a recent potty break. The clever dog had figured out a way to climb into the pool without waiting for an invitation, and his family was shocked to see just how determined he really was.
Now the only question is whether Elliot has been sneaking extra swims all along.
Elliot decided he couldn't wait for his family to take him swimming. He had dog priorities to attend to.
"I was laughing," Rose said. "I figured he would enjoy swimming with us, but I never thought he would be able to climb a ladder!"

It’s like the viral moment a man gave CPR to a blind dog after it fell in the pool, at once.
Luckily, Elliot is an excellent swimmer, and the smart dog knows how to get out of the pool on his own. So, his family isn't too worried about his safety, although they are never far away, just in case.
"I definitely feel like he’s safe," Rose said. "We never leave him outside when we leave the house, so I’m not too worried about that."
Rose says Elliot will always be invited to join them at swim time.
"He's like our child," she said. "He soaks it all up!"

After Elliot’s secret pool dip, watch how a German shepherd swam 11 hours to rescue its owner.
