Heartbreaking Story of Dog Surrendered to Shelter with Bed and All His Toys
Wall-E’s story is the kind that hits hard, especially for anyone who has ever loved a dog like family. He was surrendered once, taken in again, and then returned to the same shelter with his bed and toys, as if that would make the goodbye easier.
The lab cross had already been through more than one failed home, and this last drop-off left him looking devastated and scared. Still, the shelter kept caring for him until he finally found a new forever home with a young woman named Lynn-Lee.
It is a painful reminder that some endings are not really endings at all.
Devastated and Scared

Meet Wall-E. This lab cross was originally surrendered to this shelter and then handed back to another family, one that claimed they were this pup's forever home, ending his life of fear. Unfortunately, that was not the case, as Wall-E ended up back at the same shelter a few months later, this time dropped off with all of his toys and his bed, resulting in the heartbreaking photo above.

Thank goodness this shelter has the space and funds to care for dogs longer than a couple of weeks, unlike other pounds and shelters that have to euthanize dogs shortly after they arrive. Wall-E was in the shelter for two months before he found his new forever home with a young woman named Lynn-Lee.
What a Happy Puppy!
