Absolutely Adorable, Snow-Obsessed Dog Emotionally Says Goodbye to the Last Snow of the Season
Storm is not your average dog, and his favorite season proves it. While plenty of pups chase sunshine, this snow-loving guy seems to come alive the moment winter arrives.
His family says he has adored snow since the day they met him, and every year he spends as much time as possible outside, rolling around and lounging in it. To keep that joy going a little longer, they even build him a snow pile on the deck once the yard starts to thaw.
Now, as the last patch of snow disappears, Storm is getting one more chance to say goodbye.
This is Storm.
“In the winter, he spends 50 percent of his day outside in the snow and refuses to come inside. Much of the time, he is covered in snowballs and completely soggy by the time we can force him to come in.
He is always extremely morose at the beginning of spring… He definitely holds onto winter as long as he can,” says Storm's owner, Stephanie Larson.

This is the kind of love that everyone would love to have, and Storm has found it with his precious snow.

He could not be happier; look at his smile.

The Last Snow.
As every year, at the end of winter, the snow must melt, and this year that moment was especially sad for Storm. The temperature in Michigan started to rise, and he realized that the last snow this year was on his deck.
“He noticed right away since there was no longer snow on any other parts of the deck and minimal snow to walk in during our walks,” Larson says.

"He definitely holds onto winter as long as he can."

Storm is making the most of every snowy second.
Storm’s winter obsession echoes the brave police officer who rescued a lost dog in a snowstorm on the Bonneville Shortline Trail.
But the universe helped him keep the snow for a few days longer.
His original pile eventually melted and vanished, but it seems that winter also loves Storm. A couple of days later, it started snowing again.
So his owner made him another snow pile, and Storm got a few extra days with snow. It was a small pile, but Storm appreciates and treasures it anyway.

During the summer, his family makes him ice baths outside, but it doesn't have the same charm for him. He just loves snow.
Larson joked, "Some [people] have demanded we move to a climate where it is cold year-round, like Antarctica." But if they do move, guess who would be the happiest family member?
Storm would probably pack his bags before anyone else.
