Compassionate Pup Shields Orphaned Kittens From Frigid Temperatures
Travelers on a road in Ontario, Canada, thought they had spotted a stray dog curled up in the cold. A closer look quickly turned that moment into something far more surprising.
The pup was not alone. She had been shielding five orphaned kittens from the bitter weather, and the little group had clearly grown attached to one another. When local authorities stepped in, the animals were taken to Pet and Wildlife Rescue, where staff saw just how strong that bond really was.
Now the kittens are safe, Serenity is headed toward adoption, and the story has already won over plenty of people.
Proud rescuer

The five kittens immediately went to a foster family and will stay there until they are old enough to be adopted. They also need to be dewormed and treated for fleas.
Serenity, the former stray, will officially be available for adoption on December 3rd after she has been spayed. Clearly, she does fantastically with cats. The rescue described her as having the "energy of a toddler." They added that she should be in her forever home without children and will also need to be potty trained.
With the publicity from her good deed, she has received a lot of interest. If you would like to inquire about Serenity or even the kittens in the months to come, you can do so here:

Chrissy’s co-worker Debra Cameron caught the “gentle cuddles” moment after the dog’s surgery, too.
