Over 9 Million Dog Lovers Await The Crowning Of Mr. And Ms. Woofing World In The Twitter "Doggy Of The Year"
Dog lovers have turned Twitter into a full-blown popularity contest, and the results are as adorable as you would expect. What started as a simple account for rating cute pups has grown into a massive online event, with millions of people following along for the latest canine stars.
Behind the viral photos is WeRateDogs, the Twitter account created by Matt Nelson, which has built a huge audience by celebrating dogs of every shape, size, and backstory. Along the way, the page has also helped raise money for dogs in need and supported shelters, giving the whole thing a feel-good side that keeps people coming back.
