This Elderly Cat Found Her Way Back Home After Going Missing For 13 Years
Boo vanished from Janet Adamowicz’s life in 2005, and for years it looked like the elderly cat was gone for good. Janet searched, posted flyers, and even placed newspaper ads in Harrogate, England, before finally giving up hope and moving on with two other cats.
Then, 13 years later, the phone rang with a message she never expected. Boo had been found 40 miles away, and the reunion at the vet was emotional from the start, especially once Janet saw that her long-lost cat still knew exactly who she was.
What happened next turned a heartbreaking missing-pet story into a reunion people could not stop talking about.
Here is Boo just before she went missing

Janet searched high and low for her for a year

Then she got a call 13 years later

"I got a call on Thursday to say I had a cat missing."

"I thought it was weird, but I couldn’t believe it when I got to the vets and they had her there and she still remembered me."

"I don’t know where she had been; I think possibly a stray, but she was kept being fed by strangers or catching her own food."

It was very emotional when the two of them reunited

"There wasn’t a dry eye in the building."

"Boo recognized her mum straight away, and within minutes, the two were thoroughly enjoying plenty of face rubs, cuddles, and meows."

Boo was only found because she was microchipped. So remember to microchip your pets in case something happens!
A lot of people responded with tears in their eyes.
It’s the same kind of homecoming miracle as the microchip that led Little Buddy back after five years, for the owner.
