They are professionals at eating grass, so anyone with a large lawn would benefit from having them around. But beware—they frequently find themselves in absurdly difficult circumstances.
They are not at fault! They are just curious little creatures who constantly feel the impulse to ram their heads into objects.
And because they’re native to mountaintops, they love to climb things. This brings us to our poor Dobby.
The goat, who only gave it his best shot and failed badly, seemed very content the whole time. Little Dobby (in the cute sense; he's huge, but he's still a little cutie) spotted a tasty surprise on the porch stairs that was unattended.
His mother must have dropped one Cheerio by accident. He grabbed it since he knew this was his one and only chance to experience the deliciousness of this feast.
He decided to silently creep up the steps from behind and steal the Cheerio before anyone could see he was even close to the porch. He did this because he knew he wasn't permitted to be on the porch and didn't want to appear to be strolling up the steps.

Unfortunately, that was a terrible plan because as soon as he jammed his massive, heavy head and bony, large adult goat-sized horns between the steps, he became stuck instantly. Who knows if he really made an effort to free himself, since when his mother discovered him, his expression was like, "Oh hey, Mum, what's up?"

There was no sign of alarm, fear, or panic in those eyes. He had already come to terms with the fact that he would spend the rest of his days with his head wedged between those stairs.
Naturally, his mother immediately went to work to set him free! It turned out to be more difficult than expected.
No matter how she wiggled his head so that he could slip through, it was a total failure.
He had fully accepted his fate of living with his head stuck between those steps for the rest of his life
The stairs were made with nails, not screws, so removing the step was more difficult than it first appeared. She made an effort to remove the old nails and even hit the step with a hammer.
Dobby simply remained there, without a care in the world, while having complete faith in his mother, despite her struggles to get him free. He was cool either way; he was either going to be saved by his mother or he was going to stay there forever.
