Confused Golden Retriever Dog Freezes After Spotting His Human In The Mirror While Playing Hide And Seek And It's Way Too Adorable
Moose, a 10-month-old Golden Retriever from Irvine, California, turned a simple game of hide and seek into a full-on mystery. One minute he was searching the bathroom, and the next he was staring at the mirror like he had found something impossible.
Shane and Lindsay were playing with their goofy, serious little pup when Moose spotted his human's reflection and completely froze. The video quickly made the rounds because his reaction was equal parts confused and adorable.
He may not have understood the mirror, but he definitely understood the game, and that made the whole moment even better.

While they were playing, Shane hid behind the bathroom door and waited for Moose to show up. Seconds later, Moose came in all excited and giddy, looking for his owner from corner to corner.
Moose started to carefully examine the bathroom while being extremely excited the whole time. The sweet dog's tail just wouldn't stop wagging.
At one point, Moose was about to exit the bathroom, but his owner decided to give him a little hint by saying, “Where is he?” He then took the hint and ran toward the sink, putting his paws on the vanity top, and that's when he froze for a while after spotting something suspicious.
Moose became visibly confused, and it took him a while to figure out what was actually happening. His face was so expressive, showing that he was attempting to solve this seemingly complicated puzzle, but soon after that, he managed to recognize his humans in the reflection.
After finally realizing what was happening, Moose immediately knew that he had won the game, so he turned around and jumped towards Shane.
We're still unsure whether dogs understand the concept of reflections and mirrors since they mainly rely on their sense of smell rather than sight.
However, it is believed that dogs acknowledge the existence of their bodies and know that they have possessions.
Moose is only 10 months old, so he's still trying to figure out how the world works.
And if you love thank-you moments, the rescued dog kisses the firefighter who hauled him off the roof.
