It seems to be a common thought that someone is either a fun-loving, goofy, and extroverted “dog-person,” or an aloof, introverted and maybe even cold and mean “cat-person.”
Obviously, these ideas are disingenuous, and poorly reflect the truth of many people, as well as the animals they’re described as. No matter how long cats have been loving, joyous pets, there has been this sort of toxic stereotype about them.
We’ve all probably heard such things as "cats are self-seeking”, or “cats don’t actually care about their owners" and so on. But any cat owner can tell you that this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Cats make very loving, curious, and friendly pets, and not to mention very silly. But, we’re not here to tell y’all that cats make better pets than dogs, because there is no one right answer to that debate.
