Gorgeous Cat Will Spend The Night With You At This Traditional Japanese Inn
Traveling with a cat is usually a fantasy for pet owners, especially when the trip means leaving a furry companion behind. In Japan, though, one traditional inn has turned that idea into a real overnight stay, giving guests the chance to spend the evening with a cat in a tatami-style room.
The setup is part cat café, part cat hotel, and it has become a test run for people who want to see what life with a cat might feel like before making a bigger commitment. The experience is simple, charming, and a little unusual, which is exactly why it stands out.
From the room setup to the overnight rules, this place has plenty of cat-loving appeal. Read on.
Located in Yugawara, in the Kanagawa Prefecture, there is a traditional Japanese inn that lets you experience the night with a cat!
The hotel is a ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn, yet it has a very special twist: cats!

The business is split into two parts: a cat café and a cat hotel!
The rooms are traditional Japanese style.
Prices start at around USD $47 (4,950 JPY) for a room with a private bathroom, with a USD $21 (2,200 JPY) surcharge for a cat!

The hotel is a great way for people to test whether they would like to own a cat!
And there are lots to choose from!
Many Japanese people would love to own a cat but often don't have the time or space. This is why cat cafés are so popular-everyone loves to spend a day with a cat!
Also, if $3 cat-cafe playtime and adoption prices have people upset, check out the customer who complained about the $3 pricing at a cat cafe.
The cat will arrive at 5:30 PM and leave again at 9 AM.
Guests are not allowed to leave the cat unattended.
Owner, Akihiro Ochi, told Bored Panda:
“The cats in My Cat Yugawara are by no means working. Everyone within My Cat Yugawara is family and best friends. We even sleep and eat together.”
“We, the staff, know the personality of each and every cat 'child' we have because of how close we all are.”
Before staying at the hotel, guests are required to first visit the cat café.
This is to ensure that both cats and humans are comfortable around each other!
Check out cherry blossom season!
Feeding time!
The hotel is not-for-profit.
“We are not operating for profit. A huge portion of our income goes to maintaining the facility, including feeding the cats and ensuring their health.”
Oops!
My Cat Yugawara also makes it possible for guests to adopt the cats they stayed with.
However, they must have an interview first to ensure they are a good fit.
Sleeping cats are so beautiful
