Mama Bear Brings Her Cubs To The Backyard She Was Frequently Visiting So They Could Meet Her Favorite Humans
Some backyard visitors are cute, and some are unforgettable. For Patrick Conley, a black bear showing up near his Asheville, North Carolina home became the kind of sighting he would never forget.
The bear kept returning to his property, and over time Conley grew used to seeing her around. Then one day, the visits took a surprising turn when she came back with cubs in tow, turning a familiar wildlife moment into something much more special.
By the time Simone brought her little family onto the porch, Conley had a front-row seat to a scene he clearly never expected. Read on.

"First visit this year by your favorite girl, Simone! AND YES, SHE BROUGHT HER FIRST EVER LITTER OF CUBS!!!!"
The collar is gone—nice!—and she looks well-fed. The cubs are the cutest things to ever have walked these woods, but then I'm kind of biased.
Being that it's her first litter, I tried my best not to spook her or the little ones. She seemed pretty comfortable with the proximity, so I'm guessing we'll be seeing her again soon," Conley captioned his post.
The mother bear seemed to have chosen to reveal her cubs to the humans who had shown her such kindness. For a man who appreciates animals as much as Conley, it was a moving moment.
He wasn't touching the cubs since, as always, he was simply showing respect to the new family. Conley, on the other hand, was ecstatic to witness such a spectacle, and he even managed to record it!
“Boys are the prettiest creatures to ever walk in this forest,” Conley said, “although I’m a little biased.”
Despite the fact that it was only a brief stay, it was truly intense, at least in Conley's case.
The mother bear and her cubs even ascended Conley's back porch steps to abandon him. His calm demeanor demonstrates how at ease they were in the company of these kind and respectable individuals.
This also feels like the driver who got greeted by a grizzly through the car window.
That porch visit turned into the kind of moment you do not see every day.

The trust and respect that the mama bear has shown are truly remarkable. She trusted him enough to bring them up the stairs and onto her porch, even with her pups still behind her.
This entire interaction is hypnotic. Conley respected her enough not to approach them while she was showing off her cubs.
The only time we saw her grow a little tense was when the dog barked, but even then she appeared to settle and move on quickly.
It was a brief visit, but it left a big impression.
