Nikolay is a farmer who saved this little bear's life after it was found malnourished. Not many of us would be as brave as he was to do what he did, given the unfamiliarity with having bears as pets, but clearly, he knew what he was doing.

This little bear is too cute.
This baby bear wandered into a village looking very sick and malnourished. Nikolay, a farmer in the village, came to the rescue and took the bear cub in.
He wanted to look after it and nurse it back to health after seeing the state of the baby bear cub.
I don't think I could pass up the opportunity to take this little bear home either.
When it came to figuring out what to do with this little bear cub, he considered every option he had that wouldn't endanger the animal. However, the problem was that the bear cub was very young, so it wouldn't be able to survive alone in the wild or be accepted into a zoo.
This led Nikolay to have quite an odd pet.

The bear was doing great as it found shelter, comfort, food, and water on Nikolay's farm.

As we mentioned, Nikolay exhausted all his options when it came to figuring out what to do with the baby bear. At first, he called the relevant authorities to get advice on what to do in his situation.
Since this situation involved an animal not normally suggested as a pet, the authorities advised him to let the bear back into the wild or to put it to sleep.
He's a really good man for this.
Nikolay couldn't bring himself to choose either of those options because both would harm the baby cub.
I think that Nikolay is a great owner for the bear.
Nikolay and some others searched for the bear cub's mother, but they were unsuccessful.
It's awesome that the village was for it.
Eventually, the village issued a passport that allowed the bear to live there, and they also named it Vasilisa.
I want to follow their journey.
Nikolay plans to build a huge enclosure for Vasilisa to grow up in so he can check on the cub regularly.
I mean just look how cute they look together.
This story is one that I didn't think I'd hear, but it's really cool how the village supported it and allowed the bear cub to live there. This is a very heartwarming story that I want to follow as the bear continues to grow up.
