This Adorable Cat May Meow and Adore Fish, But He Believes He Is Actually a Dog
Marlin is a cat with a very dog-like routine, and that is exactly what makes him so fun to follow. He swims, fishes, rides boats, and spends his days with the canine siblings he grew up alongside on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Raised by Caroline and Mack, Marlin has been part of the family’s outdoor adventures since he was a kitten, and he has never acted like a typical house cat. From the creek to the beach, he keeps proving that he belongs right in the middle of the action.
He may still meow and groom like any feline, but Marlin has a much bigger identity in mind, and his latest summer plans only make that clearer.
This is Marlin

Marlin isn't one of those cats who likes to laze around in the sun. Instead, he's out on the beach or in the sea with the pups, updating his Instagram followers on his whereabouts.
He really does live like part of the pack.
"Basically I’m a catdog," he would probably say if he could speak.

Caroline and Mack, Marlin's parents, have integrated him into their outdoor activities since he was a kitten given to them by friends. On the second day, Marlin was already playing in a creek with his dog siblings.
He's been one of the hounds since the beginning, and you'll generally find him playing with the dogs he adores!
The family dynamic was set early.
Marlin’s fishy obsession feels a lot like the human who formed a rare friendship with a stingray, daily feeding it fresh fish.
He loves hanging around the house with his family

But loves the beach more

He spends a lot of time outdoors with his family

He also loves to fish

Marlin can't deny his feline DNA, and fishing is a cat's expertise, even if he's one of the canines. Marlin is a natural fisherman, as he explains, "On my first fishing excursion, I caught a puppy drum and a trout."
Because this kitten enjoys swimming and fishing so much, he studied and saved his money so that he might expand his fishing expeditions! Caroline informed her friends about the joyful news: "Marlin got his Captain’s License and bought his first boat."
Caroline said, "He’s ready for some Outer Banks fishing!"
That boat changed everything.
Even has his own boat

Watch this catdog on video:
Marlin, in fact, stated he couldn't wait to get in the boat and spend the summer catching all the fish in the sounds, canals, creeks, and even the Atlantic Ocean. And he can't wait to accomplish it with the help of Buxton, Hattie, Shady, and Buoy.
Marlin the catdog, catch 'em!
He is fully committed to the role.
Marlin is a “catdog,” but Chowder takes it further, raised with five dogs. this pig raised with five dogs thinks he’s one of them.
