These two tiny kittens did not get an easy start. Both were abandoned without their mothers or littermates, and for a while, their future looked pretty uncertain.
Then they were taken in by Hannah Shaw, known as The Kitten Lady, and given a safe place to recover. After two weeks in quarantine on opposite sides of the house, the moment finally came for them to meet, and it was instantly obvious they had found their match.
Their first playdate is as cute as it sounds.
At first, the kittens spent a little while checking each other out from across the room.
They were cautious at first, just long enough to size each other up.
But once they got over their fear, they dove straight into playing and play fighting, just like they are hardwired to do.
That hesitation did not last very long.
It echoes the moment Jennifer’s faint whimpers made the kitten hide under a van engine.
Already, they were completely inseparable, running around like first graders on their first day of school.
