An Ottawa Brewery Hires Feral Cats To Get Rid Of Their Mouse Problem
An Ottawa brewery has found an unusual fix for its mouse problem, and the solution has four paws and a feral streak. Through the Ottawa Humane Society's working cat program, the business welcomed a black-and-white cat that was not suited for adoption but could still do a job.
As colder weather drives more mice indoors, the brewery is hoping its new arrival will help protect grain supplies while settling into a warm place to stay. The setup gives the cat a second chance and gives the brewery a natural way to deal with a problem that has been getting worse.
Now the brewery is waiting to see how its first mouser settles in.
Here she is! She's the unnamed working cat at the brewery.
This reminds us of the woman who bought a car to shelter stray cats after condo rules banned outdoor shelters.
She's gorgeous, and hopefully a wonderful mouser. She's a bit shy, though.

It's always so sweet to see a cat get a nice home. <3

Wait until you see how Toup, after a decade of friendship, finally chose to move indoors.
