The Right Photo Can Get A Pet Adopted, and These Animals Are The Perfect Proof

Some shelter pets need more than a second chance, they need a photo that finally shows who they really are. A good picture can turn a shy face into a must-meet animal, and that is exactly what Orange County Animal Services in Florida set out to prove.

The shelter teamed up with professional photographer Jessica Claire after noticing how much of a difference polished images could make. The results were hard to ignore, especially after OCAS broke a 48-year adoption record and people started looking closely at how the photos helped.

The before-and-after shots say plenty on their own, and the transformation is hard to miss.

These photos make the animals look ready for a home.

This is the same kind of feel-good momentum as the newly adopted pets whose small moments of kindness brighten the internet.

9. What a good dog!

10/10 would adopt based on that second photo.

A little polish goes a long way here.

13. Smile versus smile?

A dark, smug-looking smile may be cute, but it has nothing on the vibrant, life-filled photo taken by the professional!

14. Stand tall with pride!

That's one beautiful cat!
