Pitbull Was Banned From Going To PetSmart's Dog Party Because They Believe "Pitbulls Are Bully Breeds"

by Elzaan Van der merwe

As a universal animal lover, I believe that all animals should be treated fairly, whether they are house pets or wild animals. That saying goes for dogs of any breed, whether they are small like a chihuahua or big like a great Dane.

They all deserve the same amount of love and affection and should never ever be excluded from anything in life. That is why so many people were beyond angry when PetSmart banned a little puppy Pitbull from their dog party because they believe Pitbulls are "bully breeds."

This is so far from the truth, because how many times in the news have we seen Pitbulls that are loving and affectionate towards strangers. That being said they can be dangerous, but it's because their owners raise them to be vicious and violent.

Any dog can become aggressive if that is what their owners taught them to be. It is never the dog's fault no matter what anybody says. The pups mother Ashley Yanez shared her story on Twitter and she was angry with good reason.

She went all the way to the event ready for Blu her Pitbull pup to make new friends, just to get turn around by the door by PetSmart. Scroll down to see the full story and outrage from the public.

"Blu was so ready for the party and she wasn’t allowed bc she’s a pitbull f**k petsmart."

Ashley tweeted her disappointment and soon got a response from PetSmart

Hi Ash. All breeds, including pit bulls, are invited to our events and welcome in our stores. We’re so sorry for the confusion, and we’ll be sending you a party package to help make it up to you and Blu.

It didn't take long for another Twitter user to dig up the truth

That’s funny because on your website it says verbatim that “bully breeds” are not welcome at group playtime or daycamp... as a pit bull owner who only shops at petsmart i’d really appreciate if you could elaborate on that??? pic.twitter.com/dwEbiBWDNG

This was PetSmart's response to her

Hi Megan, we believe bully breeds can make great companion pets. They are welcome in our stores, adoption centers, grooming salons, PetsHotels, and training classes, but are excluded from group play in our Doggie Day Camps. 1/3

We understand there is a difference of opinion on this subject. Our policy reflects careful consultation with our veterinarian staff and safety experts, as well as our deep knowledge and experience interacting with these pets in a wide variety of settings. 2/3

So basically they are allowed in the store and everywhere else except for dog parties because PetSmart is scared that Pitbulls will "bully" other dogs, which is absolutely ludacris! Pitbulls also deserve to have fur friends and it again comes down to how they are raised by their owners.

Anyone can immediately see if a Pitbull was raised the right way or the wrong way.

Another user reached out to Petco and they replied with the right message that everyone wanted to hear

Hi there. We welcome all breeds inside our stores - This most certainly includes pit bulls! Petco does not discriminate. We look forward to seeing you all soon! 🐶🐾

Now everyone will be going to Petco for their doggie needs

And Ashley and Blu found their new shop and Petco is so happy to have them!

How could anyone say no to this face? 😍 Thanks for stopping by to hang out with us, Blu and @ashleanin! We really do have the #cutestcustomers! #DontBullyMyBreed pic.twitter.com/ZOxjsMvEDn

Pitbulls need more companies and people like these to stand up for them because if we don't do it, who's going to?
