Darker Than The Night - This Adorable Pitch Black Cat Looks Like a Walking Shadow With Eyes
For some reason, black cats have a bad reputation. But one dark-furred feline in Daejeon, South Korea, is proving them wrong.
Meet MeonJi, a 4-year-old Scottish fold cat that has captured the hearts of people all over the world. And we can understand why.
He's perfected the art of camouflage thanks to his black fur. He has the ability to blend into dark environments, allowing his owners to only see his large, bright eyes, which appear to be floating in midair.
MeonJi (meaning "dust" in Korean) is described by MeonJi's mother, Kim Aerin, as "the blackest but brightest cat." MeonJi may appear demure, hiding in his cat bed or disappearing into the shadows, yet his quirky personality bursts through every day.
"I'm not going to lie, I wasn't originally interested in black cats," Aerin admits, "but as soon as I met my cat, I was immediately enamored with black cats." "If you asked me right now, I'd say they're the best!"
MeonJi currently has more than 356K followers on Instagram, which is unsurprising. From chewing on salad greens to hiding in the washing machine, his beautiful images show his funny antics.

“I’m not going to lie, I really wasn't interested in black cats originally but as soon as I saw my cat, I completely fell in love with black cats,” reveals Aerin, his mom
“If you’d ask me now, I’d tell you they're the best,” she continues
“MeonJi can be a totally cute cat one day, and the next day he is either very sensitive or completely opposite—full-on feisty.”
The wonderfully silly black cat has been compared to Toothless, the Night Fury dragon from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise, with his large eyes and little fangs.
