Mystery-Solving Cat With A Mini Backpack Is Starring In This New PlayStation 5 Game, And People Are Psyched
Some games win people over with big action scenes, and others do it with a cat in a tiny backpack. The new PlayStation 5 title Stray is already getting attention for exactly that reason, and fans are clearly here for it.
Sony recently showed off the game during its PS5 unveiling, giving players a first look at a futuristic world filled with robots and one very determined mystery-solving cat. The trailer did not include gameplay footage, but it was still enough to spark plenty of excitement.

Annapurna Interactive released a statement describing what we can expect from the game.
"Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly."
"Players will take on the role of a stray cat, exploring the surroundings high and low, defending against unforeseen threats, and solving the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures."
"Lost, alone, and separated from family, players must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find their way home."
Fans of late-night mysteries will love the missing feline reunion that came from spooky security footage.
The trailer shows a cat strolling through a futuristic world filled with robots.
But the part that got fans the most excited? The fact that the cat gets to wear a mini backpack, of course!
Stray is set to be released in 2021; however, a specific release date has yet to be announced.
