Matt Nelson did not set out to become the internet's favorite dog comedian, but Twitter had other plans. After years of writing jokes and noticing that posts with dogs got the biggest reactions, he turned that pattern into WeRateDogs, a feed built on goofy captions, tiny scores, and a lot of very good boys.

What started as one clever idea quickly snowballed into a massive following, with millions of people tuning in for user-submitted photos and the account's playful take on them. The result is a steady stream of dog photos that are equal parts adorable and ridiculous, and somehow always worth a second look.
