This Dog Was Found 130 Miles Away From Shore By A Group Of Oil Rig Workers
Oil rig workers in Thailand got an unexpected sight during a routine shift, a dog swimming toward their station in the middle of open water. The animal was found about 130 miles from shore, exhausted but still alive, and no one knows exactly how he ended up there.
Workers quickly moved to help, using a rope to pull him to safety before taking him in for care. A video of the rescue, captured by employee Vitisak Payalaw and shared on Facebook, spread fast as people followed the dog's recovery and the possibility that one of the workers might adopt him.
His story is hard to believe, and it only gets better from there.
They found the exhausted dog near their station and immediately worked on trying to rescue him.

That distance made the rescue even more unbelievable.
With the tide getting stronger, their only option was to rescue him with a rope.

The dog was cared for by the employees until proper help could be found.

He was lucky the workers spotted him when they did.
This also echoes the dog saved days after falling from a shrimp boat, when the bay was massive and land was far away.
He's doing a lot better now!

Here he is with the worker who volunteered to adopt him.

Now the big question is whether anyone will come forward to claim him.
They named him Boonrod <3

Either way, Boonrod already has a second chance waiting.
This was the video taken when they found Boonrod.
