A Pair of Sea Lions Who Are Absolute Units Decided to Take a Ride on Someone's Boat, and the Video Is Hilarious
Two massive sea lions turned a quiet boat ride into an instant internet moment, and the footage is every bit as ridiculous as it sounds.
The animals, identified by commenters as Steller sea lions, climbed aboard while someone was out on the water with friends in Eld Inlet near Olympia, Washington. Instead of splashing off, they settled in like they owned the place, which made the whole scene even funnier.
By the time the video ends, it is hard not to laugh at how casually they took over. Read on.
Just a couple of bros, chillin'

Seriously, these two are absolute UNITS

Off! Off! Off! Off!

Why are they called sea lions?
Britannica says:
"Sea lion, any of six species of eared seals found primarily in Pacific waters. Sea lions are characterized by a coat of short, coarse hair that lacks a distinct undercoat.
Except for the California sea lion (Zalophus californianus), males have lion-like manes and constantly roar to defend their harems (hence their name).
Unlike true, or earless, seals (family Phocidae), sea lions and other eared seals (family Otariidae) are able to rotate their hind flippers forward to use all four limbs when moving about on land. Sea lions also have longer flippers than true seals.
Sea lions feed principally on fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods (squid and octopus), but they will also consume penguins. Breeding occurs in large herds, with males establishing harems of 3 to 20 females. Sea lions are hunted, though not on a large scale, for their meat, hides, and blubber."

It's true, though.

They're King of the World!

And they ✨ nailed it ✨

It would be impossible without the video!

Big ol' puppers, it's science

Big animals do seem to have poor awareness of how *large* they are.

Like a good neighbor...

I wonder how that insurance claim would go over...

Check out the video below!
It is obvious from the video above that Steller sea lions are *massive.* Adult males may be up to 11 feet long and can weigh up to 2,500 pounds, while adult females may be up to 9.5 feet long and weigh up to 800 pounds.
These massive sea puppers are truly intimidating in their size, but also RIDICULOUSLY cute. I wouldn’t dare try to pet one, but I would admire them from afar.
Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime thing to witness, so be sure to share this with your friends and family.
Wait until you see a 40-ton humpback whale launching out of the ocean.
