Couple of Huge Sea Lions Used Someone's Boat for a Joyride, and the Video Is Hilarious
A few days ago, Joshua Phillips took his boat out on Puget Sound off the coast of Washington and got a surprise he probably will not forget anytime soon, a couple of huge sea lions had the same idea.
The animals seemed to have picked the boat as a resting spot, and the tiny vessel looked almost comically outmatched by their size. Sea lions can grow to 11 feet (3.25 m) long and weigh nearly 2,500 pounds (1,120 kg), so the setup was never going to look graceful.
Phillips caught the whole scene on video, and once you see it, the boat ride makes a lot more sense. Read on.
This is beyond funny.

Phillips couldn’t believe his eyes, but he managed to capture this scene on video:
Someone reported that there was even a third sea lion trying to get on the boat, but his two buddies wouldn’t let him. The boat would certainly have sunk then.

That is one very crowded boat.
This is also like a captain’s encounter with a giant whale seemingly asking for help.
People living near sea lions say that it is not unusual to see them climb on boats to take a rest, and they sometimes sink them.

The boat owners near Puget Sound know this can happen.
Wait until you see how a fishing boat gets dwarfed by an enormous humpback whale that leaps nearby.
