Shelter Dog Hank Is The Main Suspect In The Fuzzy Purple Hippo Murder Case
Most people have that best friend they turn to for everything, from comfort during tough times to gossip, or even just to ruin their diet with fast food, but they don't feel bad because they're not the only ones doing it. Well, even animals have these kinds of friends too; it may be another animal or their human. For this dog, it was a purple stuffed hippo. The shelter dog didn't have much, but this hippo was his best friend, and they were inseparable—until something tragic happened.
Meet Hank.
Hank is a beautiful four-year-old Labrador, bouncy and bubbly, and super playful like most young dogs. He loved to play and spend time with his hippo, and it seemed as though they would be together forever... until...
The Purple Hippo Was Brutally Attacked, and It Seemed Hank Was the Culprit!

Though Hank looked guilty, he never cracked under the pressure of interrogation. The hippo underwent immediate surgery and was expected to make a full recovery.
The Fox Valley Humane Association launched a full investigation into who committed this act.
The hippo even saw a therapist to talk through the accident. They discussed the hippo's relationship with Hank, and luckily, the hippo had no hard feelings toward Hank and still loved him very much.
No charges were laid against Hank, but even so, the shelter had picketers arrive in the streets to plead for his innocence!
(Cutest picketer ever.)
The police were even brought in to check out the crime scene! The sniffer dog worked its little paws off to catch the culprit!
In the end, not only was Hank found innocent, but he was also a hero!
Good work, Hank! Thanks to this amazing story, Hank and his hippo were adopted by a loving family and are now living happily ever after!
