Man Comes Across A Six-Foot Bird While Taking His Dog For A Stroll, And The Photos He Took Of It Are Stunning
A quiet walk in the Forest of Dean turned into something far more memorable when Jason Burford spotted a bird that looked almost impossible to miss. Standing near Drybrook with his dog Molly, he came face to face with a towering rhea, and the sight was enough to make him stop in his tracks.
Burford, who is retired and keeps chickens and bantams, started filming as the bird moved through the trees. What he captured was a striking encounter with a six-foot animal in a place better known for wild boar, and the photos quickly made the moment feel even more surreal.
Now the question is where the bird came from, and why it was wandering so far from home.
When he went strolling with his dog in Wales one day, he was stunned to actually see a tremendous two-legged bird meandering out of the trees!

Mr. Burford claims that the bird escaped from a nearby field, and he has since discovered where it came from. It has also been reported to the RSPCA. The huge bird took off, likely because it noticed it was being followed.
And the huge bird runs off in the distance

There are other animals that can be found running around in the Forest of Dean, not just rheas. In the past couple of years, the region has also faced issues with aggressive wild boars, which is something Mr. Burford has encountered firsthand.
A representative for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds confirmed that the bird was indeed a rhea. The representative added that the rhea had likely escaped from a nearby location.
And if you love wildlife surprises, Doug’s bald eagle photos revealed a shocking prey in its talons.
Jason saw the bird in the environment of Drybrook, which is around 11 miles from Monmouth.
Isn't she a huge beauty?

It’s not every day one gets to see a huge bird stroll through the forest while you’re taking your dog out for a walk. Such encounters provide a great opportunity to capture some pictures and videos for the gram (lol... just saying though).
But now it's up to you to tell us what you think about this massive bird and what you would do if you came across one in the comments section.
That is one forest walk nobody will forget anytime soon.
