Thoughtful Cat Lets Her Owner Know When He’s Had Enough To Eat - By Slapping Him
Cats are small creatures packed with purr-sonality. There is absolutely nothing a cat does or does not do that isn't overflowing with cat-specific qualities.
It's so hard to keep track of how much we eat and when we should stop, especially if we are enjoying something tasty.
Well, Vincenzo Padula doesn't have that problem—someone else is doing it for him. Vincenzo has a lovely black cat named Eva.
It seems the sweet cat is a very devoted pet. "She likes to stand on his shoulders, like a parrot," Gaia Garofalo, Padula's girlfriend, says. "Especially when he eats."
Eva loves to get involved when her owner eats. As Vincenzo reaches the end of his meals and wants to finish off what's on his plate, Eva slaps him on the hand with her little cat paws, as if to say, "You've had enough already."
How's that for a diet plan? Anything is pawsible when a cat is in charge.

This happens quite often, so Vincenzo expects it every time he eats. In fact, he has started to integrate it into his usual mealtime routine.
Instead of guarding his fork from Eva's reach, he usually shows it to her first, asking for her approval.
"I think it's a game for her," Garofalo said. "In my opinion, she likes teasing Vincenzo a little bit."
This makes sense, but he doesn't seem to mind.
It also echoes the heated pet-etiquette fight between the cat mom and dog dad over double standards.
Eva has clearly made herself part of the dinner routine.

Whether the cat is doing this because she is worried about her owner's health or just likes to make a mess is unclear, but "Vincenzo loves Eva," Garofalo said. "For him, she's a treasure."
