This Tree Kangaroo Is Probably The Cutest Animal That We've Ever Seen In The Wild
A tree kangaroo is an exotic animal that's typically found in areas of Australia and many people probably have never heard of one or never seen one. Even if you live in Australia you may find yourself wondering what exactly a tree kangaroo is.
One thing's for sure, if you have seen a tree kangaroo then you probably won't forget it because they are extremely adorable and don't resemble much of a kangaroo. We wanted to bring a bit of light and education to this amazing animal because it's one species that many people don't really know about.
This adorable animal can be found in forests, zoos, and other outdoor habitats and they're most known for their adorable features and red-brown coat. Surprisingly to many people, you'd think they resembled a kangaroo a lot, but they actually don't.
These animals live up in the trees and can actually be compared to a Koala in that sense, but the pocket on the front of them to hold their babies is exactly why they're referred to as kangaroo. Because this species isn't exactly talked about too much or known, we thought it would be great to shed some light on it.
We're going to go into some details about the tree kangaroo and go over some of the key features of this animal.
I know that I've never really heard of this animal before, but it is cute.
As we said, this animal resides mostly in Australia so unless you live there too, you might have never even heard of it before at all. You can't deny that this tree kangaroo snuggling its baby isn't adorable.
This tree kangaroo shows features from other animals such as a bear or kangaroo.
Ultimately the tree kangaroo is named this because it has features of kangaroo and its place of residence is typically somewhere in a tree. It also really resembles a bear or Koala type of animal when looking at it its a fluffy fur coat.

As we said, these animals reside mostly in Australia but they can also be found in some places near Indonesia. Regardless, it might be hard to spot one of these animals in its natural habitat.
There is just so much love between the adult tree kangaroos and the babies.
These species have actually evolved and grown over time to have stronger muscles which allow them to climb high into the trees. As their name suggests, they typically find homes inside of the trees and they carry their babies safely up there in the pouches.
It's amazing to see how far this species has came.
Surprisingly, people didn't really know much about the tree kangaroo because this species really tends to keep to itself.
This little baby is just too cute.
A tree kangaroo actually gave birth in captivity after 36 years and that was the first time that we were able to study these animals and figure out just what and who they were.
This little cutie is clearly enjoying its snack.
Because of the birth of the tree kangaroo baby, we are now able to study this species that was once too difficult to find in the wild to study.

As you can see, this is exactly where their name comes from. They have a small ouch on the front of them to hold their babies, just like kangaroos do.
This one definitely looks like it's telling that person to stay away from its food.
Typically tree kangaroos eat a veggie diet consuming plants, berries, and other fruit that can be found in or on trees.

Luckily the tree kangaroo has an abundance of food supply simply because they eat vegetation in which they also live, so it's unlimited as of now.
