UPS Driver Takes Photos At Work With Every Dog He Sees And We LOVE It
UPS drivers spend their days dropping off packages, but one driver has turned his route into something much sweeter. Instead of just waving from the truck, Jay keeps stopping to take photos with the dogs he meets along the way, and the results are impossible not to smile at.
The story has become a favorite among animal lovers because it shows a simple routine turning into a string of tiny, joyful moments. From playful pups to proud family pets, Jay’s route is full of four-legged fans who seem just as happy to see him as he is to see them.
And once you see the photos, it is easy to understand why this UPS driver has such a loyal following. Read on.
Meet Jay, seen here with a pup appropriately named Bit.
Jason Hardesty from New Orleans, Louisiana, is definitely one of the most popular UPS Dog partakers out there, and it's not hard to see why.

Jay and Kash
Jay stops with every single dog he meets to snap a photo and shares them on his Instagram, which has amassed nearly 60k followers!

Jay and Prince
For just a tad over a year now, Jay has been setting himself apart from the UPS Dogs crowd with his personal hashtag #pupsofjay.

Jay and Morgan
The self-proclaimed "easily entertained UPS driver" has an irresistibly pleasant smile you cannot look away from, and he clearly meets some of the most adorable pups in Louisiana. Both facts are surely contributing factors to his unique success within the UPS Dogs movement.

Jay and Stanley
The energy and colors that come naturally to New Orleans can be seen splattered all over Jay's Instagram, whether he is photographing unique houses he sees or posing with adorable dogs like Stanley, who has a uniform of his own!

Jay and Gov
Even when Jay isn't flashing his gorgeous smile for the camera, he is clearly having a great time posing with dogs. Gov is a Great Dane, and this statuesque picture was clearly a must! We dig it.

Jay and Liath
In the UPS Dogs Facebook group, UPS drivers all over the United States come across more than just dogs. Naturally, they share photos accordingly. Let's face it: who wouldn't want to see their neighborhood UPS driver posing with photos of dogs and cats, as well as alpacas, deer, geese, goats, sheep, chickens—you name it, UPS drivers have seen it.
But Jay does just fine rolling in Instagram fame with the dogs on his route, and we're so here for it!

Jay and Sofia
Photos with plump pugs like Sofia are guaranteed to do well because what is cuter than a plump pug? Not much. Splashes of vibrant colors in the background make Jay's photos extra fun and are a great representation of how beautiful New Orleans is.

Jay and Kingsley
I suspect Jay's photos are exceptionally popular among the UPS Dogs community, not just because he shares them on his lovely Instagram account, but because you can really feel the joy he has for his job and the dogs in his community seeping through the photos. His smile is contagious.

Jay and Jiggy
Not only is Jay's smile contagious, but it's clearly genuine and sincere. This wholesome, realistic content is exactly what Internet users today love to see. There's enough bad jokes and negativity out there to weigh down your soul, and Jay's positivity is precisely the sort of thing that restores your faith in humanity. Bonus: dogs!

Jay and Louis
In August of 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and a huge portion of Louisiana, and ever since... well, a lot of the stories and photos we get from the area feature the prolonged devastation of the storm. But Jay's photos are bright, vibrant, colorful, and positive in every aspect. We can't help but feel there is a strong sense of pride in the community, and these photos showcase how wonderful New Orleans is.

Summer and Jay
While not all of the dogs Jay encounters seem to be as enthusiastic as he is, it doesn't dampen his day one bit. (Clearly!)

Jay’s #pupsofjay vibe matches those UPS drivers meeting adorable dogs on delivery day, nonstop wholesome moments.
Higgins and Jay
Plus, sometimes dogs look like they're smiling right along with Jay!

Jay, Oy, and Belle
Sometimes the dogs in the photos just look pooped or unimpressed, but Jay can relax for a moment and chill with the laid-back dogs, too.

Jay and Cusha
But every time Jay really nails a photo, your heart and face will share a smile. Like this photo with little Cusha; her curiosity is as big as Jay's amazing smile!

Jay and Spot
Scooping up little pups is definitely the sort of thing that could brighten any dog lover's day, don't you think?

Jay and Trixie
Photos like this, with a vibrantly smiling Jay and a little Trixie sticking out her tongue, are perfect for providing your daily giggle needs.

Jay and Ruby
Every dog along the way is treated with the same enthusiasm and respect as the other dogs before them.

Puppers Greeting Jay
And some good dogs can sniff out a dog lover and will eagerly greet Jay!

Jay and Josie
The fact that Jay always remembers the names of the dogs he meets is another one of those little details that shows he loves dogs.

Jay and Louie
We can't help but giggle at the cat in the background, seemingly jealous of the affections being bestowed upon Louie.

Jay and Ziggy
Seriously, what's not to love about this?

Jay and Dakota
While many working professionals whose jobs involve knocking on people's doors, especially to deliver packages, might consider dogs a working hazard, it looks like Jay sees the bright side, and his optimism is often returned with kisses from dogs like Dakota, even if it's sometimes through a window.

Happy Family Time
Even random photos with adorable toddlers featuring Jay's classic smile and New Orleans's vibrant color schemes are fun... as long as there is a happy pooch involved. But we suspect even without one, Jay would still be fun to follow on Instagram.

Jay and Charlie
Looking stellar in his hoodie, Charlie doesn't seem as enthusiastic as Jay is, but that doesn't stop any of us from loving this photo.

Jay and Sophie
Even if he has to get to a dog's level, Jay's enthusiasm bounces out of the screen and into your face for the dogs he encounters at work.

Jay and Half Pint
I think we'd all smile if we got a chance to snap a photo with a dog named "Half Pint."

Jay, Chula, and Chapo
Even when photos get a little blurry, the magic of the moment—meeting doggos, scratching bellies, necks, and ears—is all so lovely to see.

Jay and Gus
This may be one of our favorite photos. I think Jay is all of us, delighting in Gus's fluffy, floppy ears.

Jay and Bella
Rock on, Jay. Your photos make our day, and we wish you nothing but success. As Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, a happiness researcher, states, "The more we appreciate the little things in life, the more joy we experience." We hope your Instagram becomes one of the most popular ever.
