Homeless Man Hosts a Birthday Party for His Dogs, and Fortune Decides to Smile at Him
Choco had almost nothing, except a birthday party for his dogs and a whole lot of love to give. Sitting on the stairs of a public park in Bucaramanga, Colombia, he sang to Shaggy and Nena, shared cake with them, and marked the day with party hats and cuddles.
A passerby noticed the scene and recorded it, then stopped to talk with Choco about his life. What started as a quiet celebration for two dogs soon turned into something much bigger, because the video spread fast and people wanted to help.
By the time the clip went viral, Choco and his pups were already on their way to a very different future.

Choco had spent the previous several years on the streets after fleeing an abusive relationship at home. Despite the difficulties, he had always ensured that Shaggy and Nena were well taken care of.

He wishes to pursue a music career and set up an animal shelter
