World's Largest Dog Is An Adorable 7ft Tall Great Dane Named Freddy
Freddy is not your average Great Dane, and that is putting it mildly. The Guinness World Records holder stands an unbelievable 7 feet, 6 inches tall, which makes him one of the most eye-catching dogs on the planet.
His size has turned everyday life into a full-time adjustment for his owner, Claire, who has to make room for a dog that is bigger than most people expect a pet to be. From furniture to sleep, Freddy's giant frame changes everything around him.
And once you see just how massive he really is, it is hard to look away.
Meet Freddy, the biggest dog in the world, measuring 7 feet and 6 inches
Great Danes are some of the biggest good boys you'll come across, with the average male weighing up to 190 pounds and standing around 33 inches tall at the shoulder. So, when canine lover Claire Stoneman brought home her very own Great Dane, she was more than prepared to care for a big dog. However, even Claire wasn't prepared for just how big her dog, Freddy, was going to get.

He's so big he has his own Guinness World Record!
Weighing over 200 pounds, Freddy is one huge dog. But not to worry; he's a total sweetheart! Claire is completely in love with her oversized fur baby, every inch of him! And it's pretty impressive, really; Freddy stands over 2 feet taller than his owner when on his hind legs!

Freddy is so large that he makes even other Great Danes look tiny.
Freddy’s giant status is right up there with Fin’s hilarious reaction when he spotted a blue whale.
But it's not always as easy as it looks...
Claire not only has Freddy to feed, but also his sister, a regular-sized Great Dane named Fleur. She keeps them happy with a constant supply of their favorite foods: whole roasted chickens and peanut butter on toast! Such spoiled dogs they are; Claire says that her grocery bill hits around $15,000 a year! That's crazy!
Those expenses obviously don't include other things the dogs get into. Freddy has destroyed 23 sofas over the course of his life, with poor Claire coming home from work to see a sea of foam throughout her house. Luckily, as he has aged, he now prefers to nap on sofas rather than eat them, something I think Claire is very grateful for.

Claire has had to give up furniture, and even sleep, to keep up with him.
Not only has Claire sacrificed her furniture, but she also gives up her sleep
Claire rises early each morning to ensure Freddy gets his necessary 40 minutes of exercise, taking precautions to avoid encounters with other dogs that might feel intimidated by his size. As Dr. Michael Thompson, a child psychologist, notes, "Teaching children about empathy and understanding differences in others can foster a more inclusive environment." For Claire, who stands at 5'4", it's crucial that Freddy behaves, as he could easily overpower her if he chose to chase after something. Nevertheless, Freddy's favorite pastime is lounging with his family, relishing his title as the World's Largest Dog!
