Young Woman Adopted A Dog From A Shelter And Discovered That He Was Her Long Lost Dog
Nicole thought her childhood dog was gone for good after the family had to give Chloe up when she was 10. Years later, while scrolling a local shelter page, she spotted a small dog with the same name and a familiar face.
Nicole and her partner were looking to adopt a pet for their young daughter, hoping to give her the same kind of childhood memory Nicole once had. What happened next turned a simple shelter visit into something far more emotional, especially once Chloe started acting like she already knew her.
Some reunions are so unlikely they sound made up, but this one left Nicole convinced she had found her long-lost dog.

Skip forward seven years, and something incredible happened.
Nicole was scrolling through the Facebook page of a local shelter, looking for a little dog to adopt. She and her partner now have a young daughter, and they wanted to give her the same gift of a loving pet that Nicole had at a young age. Nicole explains what happened next.

When I found out they were both called Chloe, it was really strange. It just clicked when she was introduced to me as Chloe.
When she was dropped off, she came running up to me and started licking my face. Then I knew in my heart that she had to be the same dog.
She is a little smaller and has no teeth, but she still loves to run around. They enjoy playing with each other. Chloe is very gentle with Violet, and it warms my heart to see them together.
I felt like I won the lottery. I never thought I’d see her again.
It’s the same kind of instant magic as the old dog reuniting with his hooman after being lost for over a month.
