Nothing truly beats the feeling of having a pet who loves to be loved, especially when you're a fur parent who goes to great lengths to keep your furry best friend happy. Someone once said, "Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong," and no words have been truer since then!

People who are on a pet-finding spree almost always consider having a dog with a cuddly personality. It isn't that difficult, though, because even if dogs have various distinct personalities, all of them are always down for some snuggles and cuddles, even if that means taking up a lot of your time and personal space.

Dogs will always crave some sort of personal connection with their owners, and they are never ones to turn down any activity that enables them to have quality time with their parents. Whether they purely want extra love or are just looking for an extra treat, dogs will always find an excuse to be close to you, and they will always find ways to get your attention, no matter what you do.

That being said, there are distinct breeds that have a more cuddly personality than others, and people who want to find a pet almost always prefer these breeds because they guarantee a special connection like no other (no offense to other dog breeds, though)! Here are some of them:

1. Bichon Frise

Known for their happy-go-lucky personalities, Bichon Frise dogs are very sociable, even though they may bark at strangers.

Small but fierce, indeed—Chihuahuas are the perfect lap dogs and targets for smoochy kisses. They are very loyal, charming, and possess a "big-dog" attitude, as noted by the American Kennel Club.
