This Wild Bear Smelled What This Woman Was Cooking and Really Wanted Some
A black bear on a back porch is already a strange sight, but this one had a very specific mission in Avon, Connecticut, brownies.
An elderly woman was baking chocolate treats when she spotted the furry intruder peering through her sliding glass door. She panicked, ran to a neighbor for help, and together they tried everything they could think of to scare the bear away, but it kept pushing deeper toward the house.
By the time it finally wandered off, the neighbor had already grabbed his phone, and the whole encounter had turned into one unforgettable backyard standoff.
Hello...it's me.
The Good News: The tags in the bear's ears don't mean he's in trouble. In Connecticut, bears are tagged for research and tracking purposes during hibernation season.
I'm just wondering if you have any brownies for me?
That bear was not shy about making his rounds.
This is the same kind of funny standoff as the driver who got a bear’s paw greeting through the car window.
*Dramatic Pause*
Maybe if I act really cute?
The Bad News: He never did get his brownies. :(
Le sigh.
