Wholesome Man Creates The Purrfect Palace For The 20+ Cats He Rescued
Peter did not stop at building a cozy corner for rescue cats, he turned an entire house into a feline playground. The result is a one-of-a-kind home for more than 20 cats, complete with climbing spaces, feeding stations, and plenty of places to nap.
Peter, who founded ZenByCat, bought the house in 1988 and designed it around the needs of the cats he rescues. Every room seems built to keep the animals active, comfortable, and entertained, which makes the place feel more like a cat kingdom than a regular home.
From the decor to the tiny details, this cat mansion is packed with surprises. Read on.
This is Peter. He founded the "House of Nekko."

Nobody would have believed that he would turn a whole house into his own cat universe, but he actually did.

Just look at the amazing decor!

A palace for over 20 cats he rescued.

Peter bought the house in 1988. He designed it strategically to meet the needs of all his rescue cats.

The details get even better once you look around the rooms.
The walls have platforms for the cats to climb and play around. So considerate!

Look at this feline, just looking divine up there.

The house also has many plants and feeding spots so the cats feel like kings and queens of their own jungle.

There are separate feeding spots to ensure that they won't fight over their food.

The house even has spiral staircases that lead to floors accessible only to the cats.

They're enjoying it.

The bathroom has also been outfitted to meet the needs of the lucky felines.

You guessed it, that's a hamster wheel—only this time, it's for the cats!

There are also plant-themed rooms to imitate the feel of the great outdoors.

It really does feel like a full-on cat paradise.
Also, this “purrfect palace” story is a nice contrast to the woman who ditched litter cleaning after her entitled roommate complained.
What an amazing paradise for them!

That looks like so much fun!

A dream home for all cats.

There are also many high spots around that we all know cats love to perch on.

Hide and seek!

The house is complete with scratching posts and beds, too!

Ah, the dream life.

It even has a painting of a cat!

And that adorable photo, too!

All in all, there are over 20 cats living in this catopia.

Including this handsome boy.

They even have their own pillows and blankets.

Snuggle, snuggle!

Peter's organization, ZenByCat, aims to fight the deadly disease FIP, or Feline Infectious Peritonitis.

This is his workstation, matching the theme.

A cat's life wouldn't be complete without a stalking area, so they also have a stalking window!

Honestly, this is the kind of place most cat lovers would move into in a heartbeat.
Peter clearly went all in for his rescue crew, and the result is as charming as it is over the top.
Now the only question is whether the cats know just how spoiled they are.
