Golden Retriever Thinks She Is The Baby Goats' Mother, And Can't Stop Hugging Them

Golden retrievers have a way of making every animal on the farm feel like family, and Loryn is no exception. The sweet dog has fully embraced her role as a caretaker after a pair of rescued baby goats arrived at her owner’s farm.

Andrea Holley says Loryn is always nearby when the farm animals need attention, but the goats seem to have brought out her maternal side in a big way. Now the dog and the babies spend their days together, snuggling, playing, and following each other around like they have known one another forever.

And once Loryn decided those goats were hers, there was no convincing her otherwise.

“She’s around all the farm animals all the time, so she’s seen it all”

“She is truly a mother hen and takes in every baby we have here as her own”

But when her mom adopted baby goats, this took Loryn’s maternal instinct to another level.

Now the dog and the baby goats are inseparable.

“They loved Loryn right away. They are together all day, every day”

Their favorite activities are snuggling, sleeping, and chasing each other.

“She most definitely thinks they are her babies”
