Does a dog have a favorite person? Well, if there's only one person in the family who often feeds them, plays with them, and gives them the affection they want, then it wouldn't be surprising that they'll prefer spending time with that person.

Other dogs also base their preferences on the person's age, gender, personality traits, and even clothing. But we all have to remember that dogs are social creatures.

They are capable of bonding with all members of the family, not just one specific person. Sadly, there are people out there who make a dog's preferences an issue.

And what's the mom's reason? Well, it's petty.

The dog prefers to bond with her than her mom. This confused the OP because she isn't petting this dog.

But she does walk it outside and feed it daily because her mom tells her to do so. After some responses and her replies to some users, Redditors unearthed a problem that goes beyond the dog.

The mom is not just immature, it seems that she's insecure as well.
