Dedicated Doggo Owner Spends 3 Hours Carving His Dog's Portrait Into A Pumpkin
Some Halloween projects are cute, and some are wildly over the top. Andy Manoloff somehow managed to land in the second category when he spent hours turning a pumpkin into a portrait of his Pomeranian, Sophie.
The dog dad has a habit of making detailed carved pumpkins every year, but this time he went all in on his furry muse. Using careful sketching and tiny carving tools, he recreated Sophie with impressive precision, and the result is the kind of seasonal craft that makes people stop and stare.
By the time he finished, the pumpkin looked almost too good to be real. Read on.

Every Halloween, Andy showcases his remarkable talent for carving detailed pumpkins, and this year, he dedicated his artistry to his beloved dog, Sophie. This annual tradition is not just a festive activity for him; it represents a deeper connection between pet owners and their furry companions. Andy's commitment to pushing his creative boundaries each year reflects a broader theme in pet ownership, the desire to express love and appreciation in unique ways. By choosing to carve Sophie's likeness, he not only honors her but also embodies the joy and companionship that dogs bring into our lives.
His Dogs Love Dressing Up for Halloween
Here they are, dressed up as an adorable bunch of superheroes!

Cute!

Sophie was the lucky muse for Andy's carving this year, and it looks amazing!
Andy Started by Sketching Sophie on the Pumpkin

He Makes the Sketch Super Detailed and Accurate

Using an X-Acto Knife, He Carefully Carved the Details into the Pumpkin

“I use an X-Acto knife for almost everything,” he explained. “However, due to the need to carve so much hair, I also employed some basic clay sculpting tools.”

For three hours, he cut, carved, and trimmed away to slowly reveal Sophie from the flesh. Luckily for Andy, this massive project is just one of many, and it is something he truly enjoys doing.
“I’ve been doing these super-detailed pumpkins for about eight years,” he shared. “I enjoyed carving every Halloween as a kid and just kept getting more and more detailed over the years.”
And Look at the Final Result!
AMAZING!!

Sophie with Her Pumpkin
The work is absolutely stunning, and by the looks of Sophie, she enjoys being the subject of all this attention.

And this is far from the only pumpkin Andy has pulled off.

Wow. Wow. WOW.
