Australian Girl Donates Her Own Birthday Money To Save 14 Kittens
Some birthday money goes toward toys, treats, or a day out, but Lucinda had other plans. The young Australian girl came across 14 kittens near a running track in Moonee Ponds and decided she could not walk away.
After receiving $50 for her birthday, she used the money to take a taxi to a local animal rescue and help the tiny animals get the care they needed. It was a small amount of money, but it made a huge difference for the kittens.
Her quick thinking turned a rainy day into a rescue story people will not forget.
“They were so cute. I didn’t want to leave them; they looked so forlorn and lost.”

“It was raining, so I ran home to get a laundry basket to collect them.”
What an impressive young lady!
“It was my birthday a few weeks ago, and someone gave me $50, so I used it for a taxi to take the kittens to Lort Smith.”
It also echoes animal center workers finding an abandoned cat carrier and walking away.
What a remarkable young lady! This story serves as an important reminder not to abandon animals. Hopefully, Lucinda's selfless actions will inspire others around the world.
