Redditors Roast Man For Saying GF's Cat Has Obvious Signs Of Dwarfism (Pictures)
Some Reddit posts are normal, like “my cat did something weird.” And then there are posts like this one, where an OP decided to play amateur cat-detective and ended up in a full-on comment section brawl.
It starts with a girlfriend’s cat, Cannoli, and a seemingly harmless idea: OP thinks the cat’s shorter front legs look like “obvious signs of dwarfism,” so they share pictures and invite the internet to weigh in. His girlfriend is not amused, because to her, Cannoli is perfect, and the whole “leg heights” conversation feels like an insult. The situation gets messier when commenters start piling on, calling the cat fat and arguing about whether it’s even a munchkin, while OP is left trying to explain they meant it as curiosity, not cruelty.
By the end, OP realizes the real problem was not the cat, it was the internet’s volume.
The OP writes...

When it comes to a cat that’s a mutt, it’s kind of fun to figure out what breed it is

She was not amused and continued defending the perfection of Cannoli’s leg heights

The OP went ahead to share some images of the cat and here they are...

Cannoli lil legs

Here is the cat in another position

OP goes from “cats are fun to identify” to posting Cannoli’s “lil legs” like it’s a forensic case file.

His girlfriend’s defense of Cannoli’s leg heights turns into a real relationship problem the moment the comments start escalating.

OP has offered the following explanation for why they think they might be the AH:
I think I’m the AH because I upset my girlfriend by insulting her cat potentially. I don’t think I’m the AH, I just think that cat breeds are interesting
And it gets even messier, just like the vegan girlfriend who demanded her boyfriend get rid of his cat for “eating meat,” in this viral post.
And the comments from other Redditors roll in...

The cat's legs looks perfectly normal

This Redditor just had to take it a step higher

The cat looks normal to this Redditor

That is just a cat

A cat with a weight problem

The cat's leg seem like a reasonable length

That is not a munchkin cat

The second photo, plus the crowd’s “that’s a cat” takes, makes it clear nobody agrees on what they’re even looking at.

Then OP drops the update, realizing the comment section’s “fat” remarks hit harder than the original post.

The OP left this update saying...
I now see that I was the AH in this situation, however I think the comment section needed to chill a bit lmao. My girlfriend wasn’t too upset about my post when she found it, but when she read all the comments about how “fat” cannoli was she was very sad.
I now see that cannoli is a normal cat with just some shorter front legs, but that doesn’t mean she’s a munchkin. I did get a couple vets in here with different opinions though so maybe I’ll look into it at a vet one day lol. Thank you for sharing your opinions but please stop saying cannoli is fat. In conclusion YOU are the AHs…
And that's a wrap!
OP might have meant “interesting,” but the internet heard “mean,” and Cannoli paid the price.
