This Tiny Holiday Park Was Created Specifically For Hedgehogs To Hibernate In And It Is So Cute
So, I just got some very upsetting news and that news is that in under two years, hedgehogs could become extinct in the UK. This is obviously terrible, terrible news.
Due to the loss of habitats, pesticides and urbanisation, hedgehogs are finding it more and more difficult to find safe places to hibernate each winter. To try and save the humble hedgehog, this organisation has created a cute holiday park for them to enjoy.
There is something just so incredibly cute about humans building tiny human-buildings for animals to enjoy--it's like those hamsters eating tiny food, but better! Check out the hedgehog holiday park below!

The attention to detail is incredible... and honestly better than any caravan park I have stayed in.
The parks protect hedgehogs from the weather and predators during their winter hibernation period.
The Parkdean Resorts website also provides some ideas for how you can help save hedgehogs.
These include:
- Piles of leaves or logs in your garden
- Making sure there are ramps leading out of your ponds so hedgehogs don't get stuck
- Checking long grass before you mow
- Not leaving out slug pellets or pesticides
- Having a hedgehog feeding station
- Building your own hibernation hotel!
