Woman's Act of Kindness Toward Her Freezing Dog Goes Viral on Facebook
A freezing day in Cambridge, Massachusetts, turned into a tiny viral moment when one woman refused to let her dog suffer outside a post office.
Kristina, waiting for a bus with a colleague, watched as the lady walked past with her dog, then tied him to a tree while she went inside. The problem was immediate, the poor pup was trembling in the cold, and his owner didn’t just “hope for the best,” she took off her own jacket and zipped it up around him.
Kristina snapped photos, posted them in the Dogspotting Facebook group, and suddenly the whole internet was rooting for Shakyboi.
Kristina was waiting for a bus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one freezing day with a colleague when she noticed a lady walking past with her dog.

The lady needed to go into the post office, so she tied the dog to a tree outside.

The poor dog was trembling from the cold, so his loving human took off her own jacket and wrapped it around the freezing pooch.
The woman even zipped up the jacket so her furry friend would stay nice and cozy. Kristina couldn't help but commend the woman for taking such good care of her pet.

Later, Kristina shared the sweet photos in the Dogspotting Facebook group, and it didn't take long for her post to become popular.
"Shakyboi was cold, so the owner put a jacket on him while she went into the post office," she wrote. Kristina said that even as she boarded her bus, she could see the dog patiently waiting for his human, all tucked up contentedly in the jacket.

Kristina and her colleague were still waiting for their bus when they saw the dog get tied up outside the post office, trembling like he was bracing for bad news.
It’s the same kind of grit as the brave police officer who rescued a lost dog in a snowstorm.
Then the owner stepped in, pulling off her jacket and zipping it closed so Shakyboi could actually stay warm while she ran her errand.
As Kristina boarded, she could still spot the dog patiently waiting, snug and content, while a couple other passers-by stopped to gush about how adorable he looked.
That’s when Kristina posted the photos in the Dogspotting Facebook group, and the kindness spread fast, turning one jacket into a whole feel-good thread.
Kristina said she wasn't the only one who noticed the woman's kindness. "I witnessed two or three other passers-by stop and remark on how adorable and snug he looked," she said.
