Cat Mama and Her Six Kittens Are Living the Good Life in a Foster Home
Eevee had already been through enough before anyone found her. Pregnant and living outside, the tabby cat was trying to raise six kittens on her own, and that is a tough job for any street cat.
Once an animal lover brought Eevee and her babies to the Wilco Regional Animal Shelter in Williamson County, Texas, their luck changed fast. From there, the little family landed in foster care with Megyn, known as the Kitten Konnoisseur, and Eevee settled into indoor life like she had been waiting for it all along.
Now the mama cat and her six kittens are safe, fed, and getting ready for the next big step, finding forever homes.
This is Eevee

She was a street cat when she gave birth to six wonderful kittens

Because Eevee is such a beautiful angel, it's hard to believe she was rejected because she was pregnant. While her history is unknown, her future is certain to be bright.
“We weren’t sure how she’d do in a house, but we quickly came to find that she had clearly been a house cat.”
And now Eevee is a house cat again, teaching her kittens to enjoy life in a home.
That turned out to be the easy part.
But now they are in a foster home

Eevee is a purrfect sweetie and an outstanding mama who keeps a careful eye on her kittens while also allowing humans to handle them.
She appreciates Megyn's assistance in feeding the kittens because there are so many mouths to feed, and Eevee's body couldn't keep up with all those hungry kittens. Megyn was delighted to provide some extra nutrition so that everyone could grow large and strong!
Eevee is such a fantastic mama cat that she ensures everyone is present when it's feeding time.
“She has special calls for her kittens,” Megyn explained. “When it is feeding time, she will extend a paw and lightly grab her babies as they walk by.”
It also reminds us of the stray cat whose original owner fought her new family.
The whole routine sounds pretty adorable from the outside.
Now they are happy and safe

Waiting to find their forever homes

Eevee is finally getting some well-deserved rest as the babies grow older and more independent.
“She is the most laid-back and welcoming momma cat I've met,” Megyn says of her foster mom. “Even loud, rowdy puppies don't seem to bother her.”
“It’s hard to find an adult cat who can handle the chaos of our house, but she can. She’s going to make someone an amazing companion.”
Eevee and her kittens will never have to fend for themselves outside because of Megyn and the Wilco Regional Animal Shelter, and they will only know the happiness of loving forever homes!
Now they just need the right families to notice them.
