Adorable Dog Hates Being Photographed and Turns to Jelly Every Time His Dad Wants to Take a Picture of Him
Some dogs freeze when the camera comes out, but Sparky takes things a step further. The tiny rescue dog turns into a limp little puddle every time his dad tries to snap a photo, and it is hard not to laugh at the timing.
Kennedy Simmons, a veterinary assistant who often takes in dogs with special needs, adopted Sparky after the Italian greyhound’s family could no longer care for him. Even after surgery and losing a leg, Sparky kept his playful streak, his stubborn personality, and his complete refusal to cooperate for pictures.
Now his goofy photo routine is part of what makes him so memorable. Read on.

Kennedy works as a veterinary assistant and is known for taking in dogs with special needs. So, when Sparky’s family gave him up because they couldn’t care for him, he acted immediately and adopted the tiny Italian greyhound.

They were a great family, but he had to undergo surgery, and they were so afraid to let him do anything after he broke his leg. “They genuinely wanted him to have a good puppyhood with someone who wouldn’t be afraid to let him do anything anymore.”
Even though the surgery meant he had to have one of his legs removed, Sparky didn’t let that fact slow him down.
He settled into his new home fast, and he made sure everyone noticed.

He’s been wild since day one,” Simmons says. “If you don’t have your eyes on Sparky, he’s getting into something. If he’s out of your sight, he’s either snatching a piece of food from the table or grabbing a sock out of the hamper.”
Even though Sparky is a small dog, weighing only 11 pounds, he is not afraid of larger dogs. “He’s friends with the little dogs, and he’s friends with the giant dogs,” Simmons said. “He’s so obnoxious with other dogs, he bites their tails and ears. But every dog ends up loving him and is just so tolerant of him. He’s never been told ‘no’ by any dog.”

But Sparky doesn’t like to pose for photos…

Even though he doesn't like to show his love on camera, Sparky is the most affectionate dog.
“I've had several other dogs who were special needs, and he's just got something so special. He's a little ray of sunshine when you get home,” Simmons explained. “His name is so fitting, he's got a spark in his eye, and he brings so much joy to everyone because he's really not afraid of anything.”
Sparky may hate the camera, but he clearly loves the spotlight.
