Pit Bull Saves The Life Of The Neighbor That Hated Him
Some dogs get judged before they ever get a chance to prove themselves, and Simba is one of them. The pit bull lives with his owner, Arjanit Mehana, in an apartment building in Sweden, where several neighbors have treated him with suspicion because of his breed.
One older woman who lived below them was especially cold toward him, even though Simba kept trying to greet her. Then something happened that changed the way she saw him, and maybe changed how the whole building looked at this dog.
Simba was about to show that kindness can come from the last place people expect. Read on.

A few days ago, Mehana and Simba were entering the building and passed by the neighbor's door while on their way up the stairs. At that moment, the dog began to act strangely.
“He stopped,” Mehana says. “He began to bark and ran to the door where the neighbor lives. I pulled the leash, but he refused to come.”

Simba didn’t want to leave, so Mehana tried to pick him up. At that moment, he heard a muffled sound coming from inside:
“I heard a weak voice shout for help,” Mehana remembers. “She said, ‘Please don’t go.’”
Mehana opened the unlocked door and found his neighbor lying on the floor.

It also echoes Lara’s story, the pitbull left to die but still loyal to her untold secret.
“She had broken her hip and had been in her home for a while,” Mehana said.
She was unable to move, and nobody had noticed her missing in the past two days. Her life was in danger.
Simba heard her just in time.

Mehana immediately picked up the phone and called for an ambulance, then waited for it with Simba and one of the neighbors. The dog that she never liked saved her life.
Of course, the feelings changed at once.
“She said, ‘Thank you for hearing me.’ I thought she was talking to me at first,” Mehana remembered. “But then she said, ‘No, not you — the nice doggie.’”
There is no better way to make someone like you than to save their life.

The older woman is still in recovery, and in the meantime, Simba has become a hero among the residents of the building. They’re giving him gifts and treats all the time.
No doubt that Simba deserves all that, but Mehana would be happier if his actions that day led to a wider public change of opinion about this breed of dogs.

“I know Simba is a wonderful dog,” Mehana says. “But I hope this event will make people see bully breeds differently. We, as human beings, must earn their loyalty and love.”
Simba proved he has a big heart; it is our turn now.

That same “help is here” moment is even clearer in the injured stray dog who walked into a pharmacy for help.
