Richie is the kind of cat that stops people mid-scroll. The black smoke Maine Coon has a huge online following, and it is easy to see why, with that massive coat making him look like he is wearing an extra layer of fur.
Born in November 2020, Richie quickly became an Instagram favorite after his owner began sharing photos of him online. The family had already spent years loving two alley cats, then found a local breeder and waited patiently for their new kitten to come home.
Now Richie is all grown up, social, playful, and impossible to ignore. His fluffy look has turned him into a full-on internet star, and the photos only get more impressive from here.

Richie can be quite demanding at times. "Richie is a high-maintenance cat, like every Maine Coon," says his owner.
"Their health is delicate, and they need to be heard and understood when they require something or if they feel pain," the woman said. "For example, a simple cold should be checked immediately."
"Richie has a daily morning routine that consists of brushing him completely to avoid knots that can easily form in his fur. Once a week, we take care of his eyes, nose, claws, and ears."
