Online Artist Famous For Making People Cry With Her Animal Comics Has Released A New Comic
Jenny Jinya has built a huge following by turning animal stories into heartbreak, and her latest Loving Reaper comic is no exception. This time, she focuses on Zeus, a dog left outside in the freezing cold, still waiting loyally for the family that is failing him.
The new comic leans into the kind of emotional storytelling Jenny is known for, with each panel pushing the same painful point: a domesticated dog is not built to survive harsh winter weather. Zeus may be tied to a kennel, but his attachment to his family never seems to break.
By the end, the story lands exactly where Jenny wants it to, and it is hard to shake. Read on.

"I wanted to take up this topic for so long," Jenny said.

"It annoys me that there are still people who believe their dog can handle everything, as if they’re keeping a wild wolf in their garden."

Jenny has been waiting to tell this story for a while.

"But our dogs are tamed; they have adapted to our circumstances. Most breeds of dogs do not tolerate the cold (Northern breeds excepted)."

"Finally, I’ve developed an idea for a story that I can build around the problem," she said. Jenny notes that there is definitely a common theme throughout all of her comics.

"I’ve had the feeling for the last year that I’ve moved away from the ‘roots of my comics.’ That’s not necessarily bad, but sometimes I felt that I had forgotten why I started Loving Reaper at all," she explained.

"I’ve lost some of my motivation and inspiration. I tried to regain it with this comic."

Jenny has announced that she will be publishing a hardcover book later this year featuring most of her stories. So, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for an official release date!
