For most of us, the only selfies we take are with our beloved cats and dogs. That's just how far our animal selfie game goes.
We'd only be able to take selfies with other animals maybe at zoos or parks. And that's it.
For photographer and adventurer Allan Dixon though, it's a norm for him to take photos with exotic animals. He has basically mastered the art of taking selfies with exotic animals and he is kicking us all in the dirt with his animal selfie game.
Originally from Ireland, Dixon has been traveling around the world, meeting all these animals, and befriending them enough to take selfies with them. From kangaroos and camels to sea lions and quokkas, he has taken many smiling selfies.
He started in 2015 and now, he has quite the collection of light-hearted and fun snaps with all sorts of animals. The perfect animal selfie isn't always so easy to get though.
According to Dixon, it can take between a few minutes to a few hours of being in the animal's presence to be able to take that perfect selfie.
It's all worth it though because every smile and facial expression is real and shows some common things between humans and animals. Here are some of his best photos.
