Man Discovers His Cat Is Responsible For Why He Has Sudden Breathing Problems While Sleeping At Night
A man thought he was dealing with a mysterious nighttime health problem, and the cause was far stranger than he expected. For months, he kept waking up feeling like he could not breathe properly, even though nothing seemed wrong during the day.
Twitter user @stluis_htx had no obvious medical issues, so he did what plenty of worried people would do, he set up a camera in his bedroom to catch whatever was happening while he slept. What he found pointed to an unlikely culprit, and it turned the whole story into a viral moment.
Now the internet is reacting to a cat with a very questionable bedtime habit.
@stluis_htx and his cat.
At first, he probably fell in love with the fact that his cat loved him deeply and watched him sleep.
I mean, isn't this totally romantic?!

Suddenly, everything changed.
His cat silently climbed onto his face, stretched, and tried to fall asleep—on @stluis_htx's face.

And so began the breathing difficulties.
While the cat was comfortable on @stluis_htx's face, @stluis_htx, on the other hand, had a tough time staying asleep because he simply couldn't breathe!

His post goes viral!
His post on Twitter naturally went viral. With 1.3 million likes and over 366K retweets, people from all over the world were ready to comment.
Here are some of the best ones.
The internet had a lot to say about this one.
This very well could be the reason!

I'd be terrified if this happened to me.

Well, they do want to take over the world...

Another reaction lands right on the cat theory.
This is the same kind of chaos as a man who suffered “car crash” injuries after tripping over his cat.
Well, I guess he's not alone.

There's actually a book about this? Wow.

Same here. ROFL.

People kept piling on with their own takes.
Oh, now I know.

At least we know.

Well, I, for one, am glad it wasn't a case of demonic possession. The culprit was @stluis_htx's cat, who absolutely loved smothering him while he slept!
For many months, @stluis_htx thought he was experiencing some strange breathing problems. It turns out, it was his cat that enjoyed sleeping on his face.
A word while we're on this subject: I know most of you don't want to hear this, but as a responsible writer, it's only right that I lay the facts straight.
While it's cute to see a cat on an adult human's face, it's not cute to see them on an infant's face. Cats don't intentionally smother babies and infants, and although it's highly rare, always keep a close eye on your human and fur babies.
On to the next!
That bedtime habit was a lot more literal than anyone expected.
