Tiny Pupper Shows Big Smarts and Stuns the Internet
Some dogs know how to steal the spotlight, and Bella, a tiny mutt at Michigan State University, has done it with ease. Adriana Burkhart, a junior from Midland, Michigan, splits her time between campus and home, where her family’s five dogs are waiting, but Bella is the one living with her at school.
The real surprise is Bella’s unlikely friendship with Hank, a 10-year-old golden retriever back home. The size difference is obvious, but so is the bond, and once people saw what these two were up to, the internet could not get enough.
Now the question is how a little dog ended up turning a simple pet story into a viral one.

From the moment Bella realized she could use Hank that way, it "kind of escalated."
Adriana admitted to being taken by surprise by what happened next: "I heard Hank walking around the living room, and I looked up, and Bella was just lying on him, going from room to room."
"My mom and I couldn't believe it," she said. "And we just kind of looked at them and looked at each other in a simultaneous 'What just happened?' kind of moment."
Bella is obviously packed with personality.
Bella's newfound joy in riding Hank showcases the remarkable bond between pets and their owners.
Similar comfort happens when kennel-bound shelter dogs press noses together, finding peace in touch.
However adorable the pair is, what propelled this furry family to viral status was when Adriana decided the world needed to see how Bella begs for food:
"Whenever we're making food, she uses Hank to get a better vantage point so she can be closer to the counter," said Burkhart. "She's got a pretty good puppy-dog eye, so they both end up getting treats whenever that happens."
The whole phenomenon has left everyone curious about how Hank feels about this arrangement, and Adriana says that Hank doesn't mind but also "isn't the brightest crayon in the box."
